kunalraiker Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Ok, here's the issue. I currently have a smart tv in the bedroom who's audio is only through optical out, this is then connected to an audio gd dac which then finally feeds into a powered 2.1 system from Cambridge Soundworks. The issue is neither the DAC nor the Speakers have a wireless remote to control volume so I'am left with being able to change channels, tv input, etc through the TV remote but need to walk up to the TV cabinet every-time I need to change the volume, any suggestions on what I can use or purchase.
surprisetech Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 If you want to go DIY, then these two bits will do the job. Also needs a suitable enclosure, connectors and 12V DC supply. http://www.altronics.com.au/p/k5026-remote-volume-control-kit/ http://www.altronics.com.au/p/a1012-dynalink-6-in-1-pre-programmed-learning-remote-control/ Otherwise, you might need to swap the Audio-GD unit for a DAC or Digital Preamp with remote control. e.g. Emotiva XDA-2
