zog Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 * Description: a pair of MDF speaker boxes., painted back, PA type. room for a 15" woofer (just to make it clear, the boxes have no woofers) plastic horn/waveguides noname compression drivers crossover PCBs inside. speakon speaker connectors. I have black steel grilles for the front that cover the drivers well, and all the screws for attaching the drivers and grilles in a bag. Assorted hardware (handles, polemount socket) two bass reflex ports per cabinet (8cm diam, 6cm deep) approx 67 cm high, 54cm deep, 50 cm wide these cabinets are suitable for speakers that front mount to the baffle, there is no way to open them up to rear mount. With addition of a suitable 15" PA driver they could be turned into acceptable rehearsal/party speakers. Or they could be stripped for parts. They are about 90L volume, weigh 20KG each. The speaker hole has been enlarged a bit to make room for a slightly bigger driver than the original, and the work is pretty rough so you can see where the hole was enlarged, it has left marks. These have obviously seen a bit of use, but the cabinets are otherwise sound. The original brand was "AE MBX-III Pro" but I'm not sure how much of the remaining parts are stock, as the drivers they came with were not the stock drivers. * Location: Noble Park, Melbourne, Victoria. * Price and price conditions: FREE! just come and take them please. If you throw in a gold coin I'll match it and donate both to SNA. Even if you don't I'll donate some to SNA. * Reason for selling: came free with some woofers. I just wanted the drivers. They could be Yet Another Project but really I don’t have the room for them. * Payment Methods: cash. * Extra Info: PICK UP ONLY! I've tried to sell them on ebay but it didn’t work out. I'll list these here for a week or two before trying other avenues. * Pictures 1
