cue Posted June 12, 2014 Author Posted June 12, 2014 I went to see / hear them and. The speakers have been re(whatever the word is) 10 years ago and had been in storage ever since. He now resized his house to a unit and there is no room for big speakers like this (his wife confirmed this thoroughly). The guy was totally in love with those speakers I thought it was his sales pitch because he would not come up with a price. I had to sit and listen and ensure that I would treat them well. I was quite impressed with the built quality and the sound (however I am a novice here) so I asked him to cut through the chase and I ended up buying them for $70. He even helped me carrying them down to my car and insisted to use his blanket to rap the speakers in so they would not scratch. I am still dumbfounded by what happened. Got those speakers at home now and hooked up to my yamaha and they sound brilliant to me. I think I have now to go ahead with my initial thought and get an amp and turn table to match those speakers. Anyone with suggestions???

Telecine Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) I don't have any more info than I provided in the link. I think that you paid a fair price for them. If you like the sound, they are an exceptional bargain. Good to hear that the original owner was so fussy. Edited June 12, 2014 by Telecine

djb Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) With 90db sensitivity almost anything will do Depends a little on room size and genres you like< but not much To be safer though do a quick google of the speakers if there are phrases like "difficult load " then come back to us Otherwise worlds your oyster PS OR ring the seller he seemed to know and want to assist Edited July 2, 2014 by djb
