Once Analog
I didn't know Gerry Rafferty passed away in 2011, aged 63! I loved his music and songs, a sad moment in my analogue life. God Bless Gerry Rafferty. OA Edited April 1, 2014 by Once Analog
colinm1
not hard to miss on the news,he would have got 5 seconds on the 6 o'clock news I think the rock n roll lifestyle caught up with him still a sad loss
ThirdDrawerDown
I think the rock n roll lifestyle caught up with him In truth, it had caught up with him in 1973. From then on it lingered, pulled up a jacuzzi and put on a smoking jacket, and then started planning renovations for an extra bedroom at Chez Rafferty so it could stay forever with the minimum of inconvenience. Baker Street was pure autobiography.
JukKluk2
I do believe that in his lifelong war with the demon alcohol he came in second.
Saxon Hall
Yes I recall at the time of his passing there were comments about his alcohol addled ways. Another talent lost too soon to the demon drink

Grumpy
I have a couple of his albums, City to City and Baker Street a Best of. both on Vinyl Always loved His Steelers Wheel effort with the hit song Stuck in the Middle. If you see the film clip of this song you'll see a devil eyed looking party fella just looking for some fun - I think he lived it.
