manchu
budget would be helpful? Gas or electric? For $1000 I might sell you mine with controller, charger, many many batteries and motors, spares to last a lifetime and big box full of wheels and tyres. That would be a bargain, but I think it's probably not what you're after.

manchu
electric, and a starter one just for recreation. budget? I reckon 2nd hand RC stuff can be a bit of a trap if you don't know what you're looking for. Might be worth considering new and cheap...like this Ready To Run fella for $168. I'm not familiar with the brand but looks pretty reasonable for the price. Standard bits. User serviceable and upgradable. http://www.hobbywarehouse.com.au/hsp-94107-10707-green-rc-buggy.html Would go fine, but would be worth getting a better motor and larger capacity battery IMO. have fun! kunalraiker
That looks nice for a starter and is within budget, what speed?
Swordsaint
Are all stock 540 motors the same? been ages since I've played with RC cars. Maybe contact the shop if it's something you're interested in as it'll depend on gear ratios, tyre size etc. If you get into it you can always upgrade motor etc. Also.... looks like the same one from the same store and slightly cheaper on fleabay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HSP-1-10-Scale-RC-Buggy-Electric-2-4Ghz-4WD-OFF-Road-Radio-Control-RTR-Car-94107-/221147026907
manchu
This would be a good kit to get if budget allows. Team associated 2WD buggy.http://bit.ly/1aHXHZzVery good brand. Brushless motor. Could race this one as is.The other one is 4WD and wouldn't be as quick as this. Edit. just realised it hasn't got battery or charger, so add another $60+ 1/14 scale Losi ready to run. $300. this would be a cracker. http://www.rccity.com.au/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=401 Edited March 28, 2014 by manchu
