WhakPak
What do you mean by stream movies? Do you want to store your dvd/BR movies on a local server and play back via network, or get movies from on-line source and playback?

PKay
Getflix works really well and is only $2.95 per month. Their response and back up is amazing. The best service level I have ever experienced. I would rate them above Amazon for service.

betty boop
Well my nephew has put me onto Putlocker which allows you to stream movies but the quality isn't that great, does anyone know of a better alternative? I use dune hd which with blu-ray ISO is exact replica of blu-rays for hd audio and video. Can't beat that. Also use the appletv which is quite good too but but reduced(noticeably) on both picture and sound.
bwhitesox
If you want good quality streaming then you will need to pay for it and will also need a fast internet/Wireless connection otherwise the content is continually buffering which kills the enjoyment. As for the other streaming sites that are free the quality is poor and is only good for watching on a computer.
Satanica
I've used Microsoft XBOX Video (Pay on demand) and it's pretty good. But you need a Windows 8 PC or an XBOX.

Chill3
OK hear is what I do 1. Fast internet ( lucky me can get Optus Cable ) but if ADSL+ do a speed test and ensure that speed is solid ( 10Mbps ) 2. Ensure lots of data - I am on 500gig but depends, we watch perhaps 80% online Set up - Apple TV Step one - get a US iTunes account ( use US iTunes gift cards - I use Your One-Stop Shop for iTunes on face book great service - you get your codes in seconds ) - there are instructions on the site but its very very easy, Step two - get and unblock us account http://www.unblock-us.com Then you good to go with heaps of content - Apple TV has netflix ( $7.99 month ) HULU ( $7.99 month ) Crackle (Free) and lots of other stuff - you can also buy from US iTunes and US prices and more importantly release dates. Between Netflix / HULU and son on the only TV you need to watch is the news ( or what ever master crap voice show the wife is addicted to ) If the internet connection is good netflix pictures come through very good, the "Supper HD" shows much better than most free to air. So for for $20 a month, much more content than foxtel, no adds and what what and when you want. Not much live sport however
