henrysnark Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Item: Jas Audio Bravo 2.3 6C33 Integrated SET Amp Location: Inner West, SydneyPrice: $950 FIRM + shipping/Paypal, RRP $2400Item Condition: Very good. Power LED needs replacing.Reason for selling: Surplus to requirementPayment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD OnlyExtra Info: As reviewed over at 6Moons: http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/jas4/bravo.html For sale is my first SET amp, the Jas Audio Bravo 2.3. Using the 6C33 tube it delivers 18 glorious SET Watts. It was responsible for pushing me along the SET/high-efficiency path I'm now on. Plenty of weight to the sound, beautiful mids, great control and extension. This tube type was originally used in the Russian MIG-29 fighter's radar. It is in great shape. I am the third owner - I bought it off another SNA'er midway through last year. I'm now dropping serious money on analog and can't afford to keep multiple amps around the house. The amp come stock rectifier/driver valves and NOS (plus the few hundred hours I used them for) Ukranian 6C33s - very difficult to track down. The package also includes a volume remote + new teflon tube sockets. The amp has a 'power amp mode' toggle switch at the back. Can ship interstate. Box is very heavy (28kg) and packed well. Thanks for looking! -henrysnark
djb Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) Impressive power. Clever design. I didn't think it possible to get 18w from these tubes as SET Edited March 8, 2014 by djb
henrysnark Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 Yeah, compared to my other 8W SET w/93db Omega XRSes, the JAS had real weight & control. They do warm up the room nicely, too
Braddles 63 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 As a previous owner of this amp I can attest to the quality of its sound given the correct spec speakers. Weight and control is a good way to describe its strengths. Good value here. GLWTS.
