Players using Philips cdm4 laser mechs.

Dear all, I’ve been happily playing records but would like to get a bit more serious with cd.

 

Have access to working cdm4 mechs but the donor machines are now so old and flaky that I can’t justify repair.

 

However I’ve noticed recently there are new Chinese players/transports using nos/refurbished cdm4 mechs.

 

Wondering if anyone has knowledge and/or experience with these players. Definitely looking at lower end pricing.

 

There may also be not so old original players but my memory places cdm4 back in the 90’s so over 25 years old!
