MP0001 Posted April 14 Posted April 14 (edited) Is the backlight bleed common across the Samsung line or all brands ? It went on runout price so I grabbed one. I have backlight bleed across the top of the screen in a few places and it's especially noticeable when viewing wide format where part of the top and bottom part of the screen are not used. I've tried many screen options but it's still there. Full screen viewing hides most of it. What TV should I buy to avoid this ? Edited April 14 by MP0001

Samsung might have a huge market share, but apart from their top models, the PQ and build quality of Samsung TV's have dropped a lot since the early 2000's compared to other brands, I'd avoid IMHO, for budget TV's TCL seem to be the better choice ATM. Just read the review in the link, and then think of replacing it [prehaps use as a kids TV if you have them] https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/q60d-q60-q60dd-qled If you haven't already, you should try using the calibration settings for your TV from the RTings site to see if that improves things. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/q60d-q60-q60dd-qled/settings
