darrelj Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Is there a modern day speaker that someone can recommend (for 2 channel music) that can substitute a vintage YAMAHA NS 1000M. Has to be under A$2000
David A Posted March 22 Posted March 22 (edited) How about these ex-demo Mission 700 speakers with stands which are on a nice deal atm? They're capable of extension below 38Hz in-room, so you're not giving up anything in the bottom end to the bigger NS-1000M's. And your'e getting the same vintage vibe, but in a new production speaker based on the original classic. And the good part is, as they're ex-demo you can skip the run in process - https://www.audiotrends.com.au/mission-700-speakers-with-stands-walnut-floor-stock.html Edited March 22 by David A
RCAJack Posted March 24 Posted March 24 You could get a pair of the Yamahas for that sort of money. Are you reluctant to buy used?
