Angelic Sound Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) Designing the Angelic Sound One required careful planning and collaboration. The goal was to create a speaker system that delivers exceptional sound quality, comparable to speakers priced over $200,000, but at a fraction of the cost. After rounds of discussions and sketches, we settled on a design that balances performance, practicality, manufacturability and cost. Design Criteria Must-Haves These were the essential requirements that shaped the design: Power and Presence: Able to produce a large soundstage with precise imaging for a 40-50 sqm listening space, replicating the feeling of a live symphony performance. Low Distortion: The speakers must reproduce music with clarity and minimal distortion. Natural Sound: Provide a realistic and immersive listening experience that faithfully preserves the true essence of the human voice and musical instruments. High-Quality Components: Use top-tier materials for crossovers and interconnections. Best Drivers Available: Incorporate premium speaker drivers for optimal performance. Bi-Wiring Capability: Enhance signal separation and overall audio performance. Cost Efficiency: Deliver sound quality comparable to $200,000+ speakers with a budget of less than a quarter of that price. Collaborative Development: Concept designed by Angelic Sound and engineered by Fire Wolf. Nice-to-Haves While not critical, these features were considered for added convenience and appeal: Amplifier Compatibility: Ideally compatible with my Audio Music AM833 130-watt-per-channel tube amplifier, meaning sensitivity shouldn’t be too low. Ease of Movement: Designed to be moveable by two people. Aesthetic Appeal: Attractive design to complement its performance. The excitement is building rapidly.
