Hello, music lovers! I need a piece of advice on pairing SE tube amp Cayin cs805 (300b) and speakers. At the moment I use my old Monitor Audio Silver RX6 with Rel t5x, which are reasonable good, but not the best pair for tubes. So, I want to go to something tube friendly. My room is about 30 square meters, I prefer to listen music (jazz, vocals, ambient, classical orchestra, sometimes heavy) quite a low or mid volume, so loudness is not a concern. I have a subwoofer rel t5x, so the low range is no concern too. What I am looking for is the stereo scene, effect of presence, details, clear highs (a bit bright maybe, at least as good as MA Silver produce it now), rich warm midrange. I've tested some speakers like KLH model 5, Pylon Jade 20, Fayne 502, Dali optikon 6 which were available at local shops. Not that all of the bad, they are good, but far from acceptable. Some has lack of bass, some too warm in highs. What's next to try? I've heard la scala with my amplifier, sounds great but they are huge :0, I need something comparable in terms of dimensions. Maybe Zu Audio dw6? Please write me what could work well in this case? What to prefer paper drivers? Dome titanium twitter or what? Any advice is appreciated!

Check out the Kudos Audio Titan 505 stand mounts ($18.5kAUD). They were my BOS at last year's SNA Show paired with a 50w Copland CTA-407 tube integrated amp & sounded utterly natural, well balanced and had deep, tight, punchy bass. They were the only speakers that put a smile on my face and got my feet tapping. Definitely worth seeking out an audition if they're within your budget -

In floorstanding speakers, I like the Coherent Audio GR15 Signature speakers which are $10.5kUS. They're high efficiency and are happy with 3-4 watts of flea-powered SET power. They also have a GR12 model below that @$7.5kUS which would be suitable for small-medium size rooms - https://www.coherentspeakers.net/coherent-audio-gra-15-reference

These would be a perfect choice, easy to drive, very efficient and sound extremely natural. I listen to them once at a hifi show driven by a tube amp. Excellent.

Funny how different ears hear speakers. I heard the Devore 0/96's at last year's SNA show and was underwhelmed. They did some things well, but I thought the Kudos Audio stand mounts sounded better balanced and resolved, and were more natural sounding. Sure the Devores go lower into the bass region. But the Kudos speakers have tighter, more accurate bass to my ears.

ZU Soul Mk II. Sound very good in my set up and room configuration.

They need some corner loading. Out in the open they can sound a bit thin.

All the above would be a treat , have heard the Zu on 300b ☝️really pleasant.

Fairly nice affordable speaker that comes to mind are the Wharfdale Lintons.

Also look at the the old Klipsch Cornwall.
Yes all the set friendly Speakers  won’t be compact however.

Probably also related to the gear driving them and room setup.

I think for efficiency reasons the Cornwalls would be the go and good bass.

To be fair, show conditions are notoriously difficult. And whilst Bill was using some good amps, incl: a FW SIT-4 and Rogue Audio linestage. I think those speakers would have performed better in a medium size room with some nice SE mono's.
