Greetings all,

I have a stack of Bel Canto REF 1000MK2 mono amps with the exact same issue. They turn on and play audio for less than a 2-3 minutes when I first turn them on, then they stop playing audio. They don't seem to have full power when playing either, so I suspect they are going right into a protect mode of some sort, and then audio stops for more protection. The light on the front of the amplifier stays on during this process. If I turn the amplifier off for a minute or so and turn it back on the amp will play audio again, but for less time than before.

I've checked the DC voltage coming off the power board that powers the 1000ASP amplifier board. It seems correct and stable while the audio is playing, but then the voltage goes up by a few volts when the audio stops. There is also a very faint buzzing that seems to start around the rectangular capacitors around the main power input on 1000ASP when the audio cuts out. I've tested the capacitors on the main power board and with an ESR meter and they seem ok. I also removed a couple thermistors near where the faint buzzing was coming from to see if they were faulty, they seem ok too.

I've also checked that the speaker wires aren't shorting causing the protection mode.

I'm working really hard to figure this all out as I've got 10 of these amps with the exact same issue. I’m digging into them to try and diagnose the issue as best as I can, but with no luck.

I am so thankful to be a new member of this community and hope that the solution to this helps others on the forum as well. Thanks in advance for any advice and guidance on this! I am very grateful!!!
