Artnet Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) I have been reading elsewhere about this South Korean tube manufacture. https://www.straditube.com/ Mostly I use NOS tubes with a couple of exceptions where I am curious. This is one of those occasions and will be ordering a 5U4 from them soon to try in a DAC and will keep you posted. They seem to have an interesting array of products (including some 4V options) and are adding others soon a 45 and a 274B. New production tubes can get mixed reviews for both cost and how they sound but as I am wanting to add either 300b or 2A3 (Eb) amplifier to my system this year I am even more curious. Anyone ? aussievintage Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Well, they are expensive, so they better be good. I have only ventured into this arena with Psvane, and they have been good. I will follow along to see who has tried Stradi. 1
lulucas Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) me too, keen to hear from 1st hand experience with these since NOS is out of my price range. I also have very positive experience with PSvane Horizon series, I purchased directly from manufacture instead of Alix or Amazon. Seems like they really up the ante with quality control with this series. Edit: Stadi has a interesting line up of tubes Edited January 19 by lulucas 1

It depend on the tubes you are needing I think. Plenty of good NOS tubes out there but perhaps fewer Holy Grail versions in good shape, and increasing in price of course. The cost of production tubes is not insignificant and will often exceed NOS. Overall IMO the vintage items are going to be the benchmark in performance. What interested me in Stradi is their choice of tubes beyond the more typical and the corresponding price point. I might need to look around more at current production tubes to compare? But as has been said interesting line up. How do they sound!? Will have to wait and see.

It also depends on what they will be like to deal with. Not being sold on Ali or Amazon (that I can see), but Psvane are. Edited January 19 by aussievintage 1
