chrisRS Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Hi all, I've previously owned a pair of Focal Chora 806s and loved them, however they are a little too big for my current use case (bedroom speakers). I also adore the sound of modern B&Ws that I've auditioned in the past. I also had a pair of Q Acoustic 3050 floorstanders which I very much enjoyed. Both the Focals and Q Acoustics were powered by a Peachtree Audio nova 220SE amp which is now sold. I've read that Focals and B&Ws are regarded as "bright" speakers, so I'm currently in the market for similar sounding speakers which are a bit more compact (< 290 × 180 × 320). Any suggestions? Budget would be no more than $1k. So far the shortlist is: Monitor Audio Bronze 50 Triangle BR02s
Hi-Fi Whipped Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Bright speakers I've heard are B&W, Dali, Golden Ear, but I tend to stay away from them. 1
blakey72 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) Focal aren't anywhere near as bright as they used to be. Maybe the Klipsch RP500M, Maybe too tall?? Or RP50M. Edited January 25 by blakey72
