Hey guys, Led Zeppelins official doco is FINALLY coming out in Feb.

I was thinking of watching it all together at Norwood and then we go out for drinks and grub at The Bath hotel across the road.

Who's in for some Zep?

The world's largest IMAX screen currently stands in Leonberg near Stuttgart, Germany and measures 38 by 22 m (125 by 72 ft).[63] Until the Leonberg IMAX opened in 2021, the largest operating IMAX screen was in IMAX Melbourne, located within the Melbourne Museum in Melbourne, Australia, measuring 32 m × 23 m (105 ft × 75 ft).[64] Until its demolition in 2016, the world's largest IMAX screen had been in IMAX Sydney in Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia, measuring 35.72 m × 29.57 m (117.2 ft × 97.0 ft).[65][66] It reopened on 12 October 2023, with a screen measuring 693 square meters 31.2 by 22.2 m (102 by 73 ft) within The Ribbon building, after years of extensive redevelopment, making it the world's third-largest screen.[67][68]

The Sydney iMax is pretty good.  Yeah it was redeveloped fairly recently.  Good sound too.  I haven't been to iMax many time at all.  But I did see Stop Making Sense  the Talking Heads film there last year.

OK SA SNA'ers.

This doco movie probably won't be on the big screen for long.

It opens on Saturday 8th Feb at 630PM at Hoyts Norwood. We can then go for some drinks after the film.

Who is IN?

Please book your tickets onine at the Hoyts website and hope to see you there.

A bit of trivia re the upcoming Led Zeppelin doco film, Becoming Led Zeppelin.

One of the members of one of my other fave bands, Garbage, - Duke Erikson (who is 74!), was an executive producer of the doco.

Here is a pic below of Garbage at the film screening (Duke is next to Shirley).

I was lucky enough to meet Duke in Tokyo after I saw them play earlier that day (afternoon concert!).

Insane guitarist from an incredible band.
