I didn't see anything in a quick search. Anyway, if not, I'll try to start one. Here's my first nomination. HMV - an early design, started back in the era and carried forward into early mono LPs and see in many variations. Here's one of the nicest I have, from an old mono LP. 5 2

Bisguittin Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 (edited) The Transatlantic label is probably my favourite. Edited December 30, 2024 by Bisguittin 5 1
Rocketfrogs Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 I was always mesmerized by the original Vertigo swirl although I do love the Vertigo spaceship they replaced it with. 5
Rocketfrogs Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Led Zeppelins Swansong label was pretty cool too 2

Rocketfrogs Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 The Bronze label which had acts such as Uriah Heep and Motorhead also had a cool label. You could follow the evolution of mankind with one revolution. 5

Rocketfrogs Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 The original Virgin label was another trippy one... 4

BLAH BLAH Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 The Beatles Record label with the green Apple Logo always struck me as bold, curious and innovative...but then I do find that green and black do go well together. Just like the early Sansui black faced Amps with the green font writing on their faceplates. 4 1

Impressed me when it first came out - especially the idea to have the cut-half of the apple on the B side. 2

Yes, bit of a weird one that...as Side 1...as posted above had the full apple...rather than a cut half to match the B side...
aussievintage Posted December 31, 2024 Author Posted December 31, 2024 They buggered it up on some of the reissue/remasters. This version is ugly 1 1
