betty boop Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Next in the line of Alfred Hitchcock Iconic collection release for me is North by North West. This to me is an amazing movie ! Has all the hall marks of Hitchcock movie, and more with intrigue, exotic locations, blonde and romance, on the run, chases, mistaken identity, espionage, clambering off cliff tops, a bond like ending and even some comedy This one has grain all way too and again in restoration that have not chosen to blur that, as likely would have blurred details that is made up from those pixels. All shots taken on the fly to not aggravate but instead respect the grain. While to catch a thief was from 1955, this is a bit younger from 1959 so only some 65 years old, which is astounding and coming of an amazing restoration of its vista vision film stock. Check out some screen shots below which will give some idea how this turns up on big screen and delivered via our 4k JVC projector.            3 1
wasabijim Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 I've got a job, a secretary, a mother, two ex-wives and several bartenders that depend upon me, and I don't intend to disappoint them all by getting myself "slightly" killed.  this is one of 2 viewing options in our house that we have for new year's day recovering 1 1
