Hi there - this is re: Yamaha NS-690II's. I bought a pair of these in pretty good condition recently. I had to work on the woofers to remove some of the corrosion that traditionally builds up on their backs. I then made the stupidest move I probably ever have with precious vintage audio gear and dropped one of the cabinets, damaging the front bottom corner and (worst case scenario) the 12" woofer magnet shifted and jammed the voice-coil. I cant seem to see how to remove the back-plate from the woofer. there is still continuity in the VC, but the cone is jammed and wont move. Despite me making a really dumb move, these woofers are known for their magnets shifting (the factory gluing isnt the best).

I know, I know, I've learned my lesson, terrible move. Does anyone know anyone in either NZ or OZ who rebuilds speaker drivers? I understand that recone kits for these woofers arent available, so that makes the stakes here even higher.

Thanks!
