Looking for the best way to manage my streaming content. I currently have a Yamaha N2000 amplifier connected to my Revival Audio Alante 5 speakers. I steam my content using the N2000 via Tidal Connect on my laptop and the Tidal desktop app. The laptop is on my wireless network and the N2000 is connected via a direct LAN connection. I also have an old Samsung Tv with an Amazon firestick 4k (which is also hardwired to my LAN). I would like to be able to use the tv to select my playlists or individual selected tracks probably via the firestick and Tidal? Is this the best way to control the content I am playing or is there a better way? I do not have a tablet, and I have used my android mobile to stream via the Yamaha Connect and Tidal. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I do not really want to continually bring my laptop into the main room to listen to music.

Cheers

David

To use your old TV as the control device, you will need something which runs the Tidal app and display video to the TV.  This rules out all stereo streamers which have an audio only eARC HDMI input.

You could add AppleTV or maybe (?) a Zidoo media player, but it complicates the setup.  By far, the easiest way is to get a cheap Android tablet...
