Hi Guys,

I'm looking at updating my older Emotive XDA-2 DAC to something with a bit more bass punch and open sound stage, at around the $1500 mark.

At this stage I'm considering a Topping D90 III Sabre & SMSL Audio VMV D2R

I would really like to demo it first to get an idea of it's performance, and I know some of the guys at Addicted to Audio, who might be able to let me try these 2 out.

Any experience with either of these or an alternative would be great. 🙂

100%, I had one for a while and loved it.

If it's not for you, then easy to sell and recoup your money. I suspect you will keep it.

Good luck ✌️

Ideally I want to try it out. I'm not the only who has to approve the purchase......if you get my drift. 🙂

take it from me i have had several dacs some cheaper well regarded dacs and also a few that were quite a bit more expensive to me the Gustard R26 does all things better i don't know how you can try it out unless you have a dealer or someone you know has one that you can borrow good luck with your endeavour.
