Yeah so pulled the pin on a pair of Q3020i's last night after getting approval from the finance minister. NO IDEA how I got it approved as I have two shelves in the spare room full of Hifi gear on standby. @Cafad knows the situation as he put me onto the rack idea. I think he may actually trying to down size however don't quote me.

So I obviously didn't really need these however I've seen so many good reviews (and the outgoing model price) I had to try. So I think what I might do is attempt a small review once they are run in and maybe compare them to a few other bookshelf speakers I own. I'm looking forward to seeing how they perform going in with no expectations.

I think I'll power them with both a entry level amp and a higher end one just to see how they react. Source I'll keep the same as with cabling. Nothing 'big' for Stereonet members but might be worth a look if you have spare time with a coffee in front of you.

Probably won't arrive to the end of the week so may give some out of the box comments next week. It would also be interesting to hear any other Q Acoustics 3000 series owners quick thoughts.

Cheers

They are inexpensively enough. You got stands?

I couldn't really justify going to the 3030i's. And besides, I know it's an audio sin but I'm planning on mounting them high on the walls in the main bedroom. Stands? Yep not the Q Acoustics ones but yeah. Their stands are as much as the speakers !!

So what do you think of the 3020i's? I have the 3030i and love them to bits, especially paired with a sub.

Agree with you about the stands too, I opted for a generic pair (plus blu tac!) for about $150 because I couldn't justify paying $400 for the branded ones.
