Remote control of Foobar player using HID USB device

Years ago I installed Foobar, ASIO, Monkeymote + Bonjour on WIn7 laptop, along the way my DAC no longer controls FB playback. Audiolab 8200CDQ is a CD/DAC/Pre-amp that has ability to control PC media device over USB, identifying itself as HID (Human Interface Device).  Audiolab's remote used to controlled Foobar playback (pause/play, fwd, back) as well as volume of pre-amp into power amps, but no longer does the former.
