aussievintage Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 I just played this one. I got it quite some time ago for $3. Ripped cover, record club label (it's a Verve recording), no innner sleeve, but oh, the music is superb. Great sound, good recording (although mono). 5
audiofeline Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 It could be good sound because it's mono! When I get a cover like that I will touch up a lot of the fold and wear marks with a permanent black texta. I rub my finger on it after applying so it's not so obvious. If you are careful it can make it appear a lot better. And with a cover like that, you can't decrease it's value!
aussievintage Posted November 10, 2024 Author Posted November 10, 2024 Yes, I don't actually mind mono records either. The most I will do is sometimes pop the cover in a nice outer sleeve, to preserve what is left.
