Silent Screamer Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 A couple of months ago my Halcro MC70 had a dummy spit and refused to work. After a bit of investigation I tracked it down to one of the two power supply units. The power supply that was working had a crack in one of the resistors and the four main power caps looked very worse for wear, so I replaced the resistor and recapped the four main power caps. I recapped the rear power supply unit but it still didn't work so I had to bite the bullet on buying a costly replacement unit. My question is since it has been months since I last heard my system I am unsure if the power supplies will need some burn in time. Although after about 15 - 20 minutes of listening now it does seem to be opening up a bit, although I don't know if it is my imagination.
Silent Screamer Posted October 25, 2024 Author Posted October 25, 2024 Wasn't my imaginations sounds way better now after an hour and a half. I can believe how much I missed music being played on a great system. Twice already it has brought tears to my eyes. 3
