SangeethSamrat Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 (edited) Hi, I have a small collection of LPs with music available only in that format, so I’m looking for a turntable to play them. Yesterday, I attended the Stereonet HiFi show in Melbourne and came across the Goldnote Valore 400, an ex-demo unit offered by Dacman Audio for $1,600. Details in the attached image. However, I couldn’t find any reviews or information about this model online, and it appears to be discontinued. I’m wondering if it’s still worth purchasing. The owner has offered to provide a demo tomorrow. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Edited October 14, 2024 by SangeethSamrat
needlerunner Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 I googled it and there are no reviews out there. Seems a solid high end turn table by what l have read of the brand. It appears it is a discontinued model, with the 425 being the current model. They are priced at around 3.5k. So the 400 could be a bargain at the asking price. Not sure how old the 400 is. I guess when you demo it...ask the question. Being a demo, it would gave done little work. And if it sounds great.... Ken 1
David A Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 (edited) Fyi you could buy a Technics SL-1500C tt with 10 hrs on it for $1350. That tt is a workhorse & should out-perform the Gold Note deck. The seller mentioned at the end of his ad he's open to sensible offers. So he might do $1250 + shipping - https://www.aussieaudiomart.com/details/650093073-technics-sl-1500c/ But that's just one tt I found advertised without looking far and wide. You could also check out the SNA classifieds. And many audio stores as you saw sell ex-demo and traded in tt's. Edited October 16, 2024 by David A fixed link 1

Really happy with the purchase That is a good example of the advantages of dealing with a good brick & mortar store where you can get to hear the gear you're interested in, get advice about setup, and obviously get back up support down the road. Good luck with your new deck! 1
