Administrator StereoNET Posted October 4, 2024 Administrator Posted October 4, 2024 Members, this morning an issue was brought to my attention via the Support system regarding a transaction that has gone awry between two members of the community. This was for an amplifier that was sold by a member, as the result of a post within a discussion thread suggesting they would sell theirs, and corresponding communication between the two members. Now in this case, I have managed to resolve it with both parties agreeable to my proposed resolution. However, please understand that we will not mediate for transactions that take place outside of the Classifieds (by that, I mean a Posted and Approved Ad). Had this ad been posted in the Classifieds, it would not have been approved based on the reported condition by the Seller, and what the real world condition was. Further to that, the method in which the transaction took place would not have been possible had it been posted to the Classifieds, as again, the Poster would have been asked to clarify some things. The Classifieds exists for a reason, and I have personally invested months of my time and thousands of dollars into its development. If you happen to get into a converation with another member about a potential sale or transaction, encourage them to list it in the Classifieds. That will likely avoid most issues that could arise with the transaction, and also enable us to assist you if things go wrong. I won't however be helping in transactions from this point on for transactions not posted directly in the Classifieds. I am sure that is understandable. 13

Administrator StereoNET Posted October 5, 2024 Author Administrator Posted October 5, 2024 It's not about the fees, per-se. It's about the processes. But thanks @Andythiing 7
