masterpaul
The October Meeting will welcome Atlas Gouverneur from Atlas Harmonic. This presentation will outline Atlas Gouverneur's journey from founding The Speaker Project, focused on DIY speaker kits, to launching Atlas Harmonic. It will highlight the evolution from teaching hands-on audio building to crafting high-performance speakers that blend classic warmth with modern precision. "The Speaker Project started as a hands-on workshop, guiding individuals in building their own speakers. As the business matured, the vision expanded to offer a brand that provided fully refined, ready-to-use audio products. Thus, Atlas Harmonic was born — a brand that combines the nostalgic warmth of classic hi-fi sound with modern audio technology. Through products like the Stoic, Atlas Harmonic delivers high-performance speakers that marry exceptional sound quality with elegant design, offering an unparalleled audio experience for discerning music lovers" - Atlas Gouverneur https://www.atlasharmonic.com/ Details of the system for October 13th: Loudspeakers - Atlas Harmonic Tempest standmount Atlas Harmonic Stoic floorstander Amplifier - Hypex Ncore amplifier with built-in DAC Streaming - BluesoundNode N130 Streamer Playback - Reavon UBR-X200 universal player For reference, the Atlas Harmonic brochure is available for download, here - http://www.sydneyaudioclub.org/october-2024.html The doors will be open from around 1:30 pm to meet and chat with members before the meeting starts at 2:00 pm. If you happen to be late just quietly slide into a seat and join the presentation. As our club is based on mutual respect, especially in these open presentations, let us remain respectful towards one another’s views and opinions. There will be an afternoon tea break before the meeting finishes at 5:00 pm. The second half of the music session is intended to help you evaluate the system with music that you are familiar with. All members and guests are welcome to offer music to share with us all. So bring along your favourite music to play on CD or USB or speak to Atlas to load your streaming selection. All we ask is that the music and recordings be interesting. We'll ask you to tell us a little about the artist/recording before it is played. Tracks over 6 minutes will be faded out, to give everyone a fair go. We will also have a club member act as Disc Jockey for this session. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned veteran, you will have the opportunity to listen, learn and share your experiences with others. Feel free to come and hear the capabilities of the system, or to just share the experience with like-minded music lovers in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Guests are welcome – we are a very friendly club so you don't need to know anyone to join us for an afternoon of fine music and sound. Please bring your music to share with other club members. A.K. Posted yesterday at 12:37 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:37 AM Always happy to see / listen to locally made speakers as, almost always, they represent much greater value compared to imported products. And, apart from the value aspect, many times outperform competitors from overseas. Looking forward to listen to this presentation.
