I bought a used M2Tech Nash Phono Amp last year whilst in Japan however after about 5 hours of use, it developed distortion in one channel.

I emailed M2Tech in Italy twice over the space of 3 weeks and didn't receive a reply.

I took it to my local hifi repairer who also emailed M2Tech in Italy for the schematics - he was also ignored.

As a last resort I contacted the Japanese distributor of M2Tech. They flatly refused to help as I no longer had the expired "Top Wing" warranty card.

I originally did have it but tossed it as the warranty period had expired. They said without it I can't prove it was distributed by them. You'd think the serial number would be sufficient but no it seems.

I'm pretty annoyed at both M2Tech and Top Wing.

I would like to get it repaired but don't know what to do.

Is there anybody out there that can help in any way?

Regards,

Craig

Greetings,

I'm surprised Marco Manunta didn't respond from Italy.  I've worked with him for years as a vendor, then as a private audiophile.

I would suggest trying him again. Did you use  info@m2tech.biz ?  That's how I contact him.

Good luck,

Jack

Thanks Jack. I'm surprised as well. Not replying to emails that are requesting support, can't be a very good business model.

If the Nash was a cheap $100 amp then I'd simply toss it. I shouldn't be looking at tossing a $3000 + amp but without M2Tech's support, my options are very limited.

Yes, that is the email I sent my messages to. I will try again. Cheers.

Good news!

I emailed M2Tech this morning and thankfully have received a reply from Marco Manunta.

Due to my situation, he has graciously provided the Nash's schematics for me to give to my repairer and offered to provide guidance to him if needed.

Maybe a year ago when my repairer and I and sent emails, it was a bad time for him.

Whatever the case, I am very grateful to Marco for his response today.

I'm in the process of buying a new Young MKIV and mentioned your situation to Marco. He also told me you and he have exchanged emails.  I don't know how many people work for him, but I imagine he's on the road a lot with trade shows and visiting vendors. It's easy to lose an email under those circumstances; it's unfortunate, but it happens.  I really love the sound of his products.

Hope you get to enjoy your Nash soon.

Thanks so much Jack. Hats off to you.

Yes, I've had a few M2Tech products and have been always been quite happy with the sound quality.

The Nash also sounded very good.

Many thanks,

Craig
