David A Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 I recently visited Sound Gallery in Carnegie. This store is owned by John Ong who carries an impressive list of brands, incl: Marten, Karan Acoustics, CH Precision, BAT and AMG to name a few. John is a setup guru and is always happy to offer good advice whether you're building a fairly humble lifestyle system, right through to serious high end systems. And he is always happy to brew an espresso if you drop in for a visit. Here are some photos & a short video from my recent visit... Infinity Renaissance 80's (sold to an SNA'er) And here are some photos & a video from my recent visit to Absolute Hi End in Moorabbin. On demo were YG Sonja 3.2's, Boulder 1161 amp, Soulnote D-1SE dac, Digibit Aria server with the optional lpsu, Solid Tech Hybrid racks and Zensati cables. Unfortunately the excellent Ideon Audio Ion dac was out for review. But the Sonja's still showed their potential. Their rendition of piano was amongst the most timbrally accurate i've heard. And they sounded very well integrated as usual for YG... Apologies for the audio quality in this video which was captured on an old Iphone. But I thought i'd post the video just to give you an idea of their sound.. 7

Gotta keep buying those lottery tix I guess .
