kissie Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Hello All, I have very recently purchased the Clearaudio Innovation Compact table, which is an upgrade from my Clearaudio emotion that had faithfully served me well for many years. The satisfy tonearm was fitted with a Ortofon Cadenza Bronze which sounded very good however the Innovation also fitted with the Ortofon Cadenza is another level all together. I also decided on the Universal tonearm which sounds unbelievable. I'm about to change carts to the Clearaudio Stradivari v2. Does anybody else have a similar setup ? Would love to hear your thoughts. 3 1
Hydrology Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 (edited) Can't say I'm a huge fan of the Clearaudio carts relative to other brands. They're good, but usually better results can be had for the money. My consideration would be an audio technica AT-ART20, Etsuro Urushi Cobalt Blue or one of the Hana Umami carts. I’ve been using Benz Micro LOMC carts for a number of years now and get wonderful results. Currently running the SL Wood. You may wish to consider getting the 24v power supply - they aren’t that expensive.
kissie Posted August 12, 2024 Author Posted August 12, 2024 No doubt sounds amazing, yeah in hindsight I probably should've gone for the 12' arm as the difference wasn't huge, I haven't considered the power supply however I just purchased the Clearaudio reference phono stage, which I'm looking forward to adding to my Rogue Audio RP5 valve pre amp. I'll keep you posted on how it sounds. 1
muzzagruzz Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 Congrats on the phono pickup. You got that for a great price.
muzzagruzz Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 A couple of times now, Addicted to Audio, has had specials in Clearaudio products. Keep an eye out.
kissie Posted August 12, 2024 Author Posted August 12, 2024 Yep Newtown store, highly recommend them, dealt with Alan 1

It’s in the DIY, and system threads. You are the only other I’ve seen use them. They are really good, solid boards, and make good isolation platforms. Edited August 20, 2024 by Flash
kissie Posted August 21, 2024 Author Posted August 21, 2024 Ha ha, I reckon you've just started a new trend flash. I've since added a second under my phonostage. For those interested, Harris Scarff have the boards discounted 50% tweed heads. 1
