Trevor Whittle
I recently bought a Yamaha pc1602 power amp. Its a professional amp not designed for home use. The pic shows the amp in my system with a passive pre on the top. I must say that it sounds amazing. Much better than my made to order valve amp or my Naim 135 mono blocks. Detail imaging and separation of the various instruments are the main strengths If anyone uses "pro" equipment at home, your comments would be welcome as used older power amps are plentiful on market place. altecman
Trevor, been telling you for years that these are good amps. Here’s a photo of my left channel amps, will be getting another PC2602M soon so I can run 5 channel active. Remember these series of amps were used for the studio as well and last of the great ones built.Yamaha PC1602 2602 brochure.pdf
