Amber TT3 turntable

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

My Amber TT3 turntable has a broken drive belt. The agent, Audiophile Brunswick , no longer exists.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction to find a replacement.

Cheers and thanks, Paul

I presume you still have the broken belt?  If so ... lay it out flat and measure its length; from that, you can calculate its diameter.  (Diameter = Circumference / pi.)

Then you know what you are looking for.

Is it a flat belt or a round belt?

Hey Andy,

The belt is round

The broken belt is 320mm long, not allowing for any stretch over time, and is 2mm in diameter

Amber were never well known turntables,  I think they were something Nick did in low numbers.  Pretty sure he used rega RB250 and RB300 arms, yours looks like it could be an RB300. I would suggest you take clear photos of the table from the top and at angles,  and remove the platter and take a photo,  will be much easier to identify it.

320mm long = a diameter of 102mm.

You might like to contact Renseal, in Dandenong.  They have round, silicone 'O rings' of various diameters - I use two on my TT (two motors).

Their no. is 9794-5711.

going to go out on a limb and say it looks like a rega drive to me! I will check my Red Devil rega belts tomorrow,  have a feeling they are the same length.
