mlinvpp
I have a 20+ years old Linn Akito arm, still works well. I am thinking to have it serviced and rewired. would like to ask if it will benefit for a better sound, just like the machincal watches, need some care from time to time. Are there any service with good reputation shop or person you can recommend in Australia? Thank you in advance.

Hi M, I replied to your email early in the week, I can certainly do anything on the arm needed, the early model is like a Rega, afaik it uses the same bearings as the rega only they have no dust covers which can cause a lot of issue with operation. If the arm is original and hasnt been played with then it should be no problem to strip and rewire, replace bearings and have it performing better than new.
rossb
I can vouch for Mark at SonicArt, He re-wired my RB2000 and also made up some cables for me, and the quality of his work is excellent.
