yes, I saw this on Insta earlier today. Will sell out quickly I imagine.

This album deserves a 45 UHQR 1-STEP half speed super vinyl version 🙂

I seem to recall from the CD that it was DDD, ie. full digital from recording onwards (back in the days when that was the great selling point). I wonder if there is an analogue recording? I have a couple of vinyl copies of it from back in the day, and the certainly sound good, whatever the provenance!

funny I was listening to this last night,  talk about a revolution! 🙃 I have two copies of this, original German? I think they are pressings,  have to go and look now...

Wonder who is going to be making the reissue.

It be interesting to see how squashed (compressed) it is when one makes it to this site, compared to the magic of the original 1988 versions that were done, I still marvel at my original 1988 Elektra CD for clarity, emotiveness and dynamics.

yes I have the original CD also,  and original Crossroads CD and album.

Just looked at my albums,  both are original US direct metal master pressings,  crossroads I have one dmm and one other version,  all Elektra. Probably don't need the new one 🫢

I'll be surprised if it doesn't get the **** squashed out of it also, like much of the stuff today, so the "dynamically impaired deaf" can hear all the lyrics and instrument during the quiet passages, and so it also won't take out IEM's and the wearers eardrums on the dynamic sections.

Remember  "If you have no quiet, you have no loud" that's what dynamics are all about.

Apparently the US pressing is the best, I have the British one and is great but the album was well pressed, the Oz pressing is really good as well.

This was my first ever CD bought in 1989. DDD recording wow. Over the years, I have also acquired a couple of copies of the vinyl as well. Did not recall it being super pricey.

You should be able to pick up an Australian copy for not too much, as this was a super popular album that everyone and their mother had!

As it was recorded and mixed in digital, hopefully that means that the masters that got to Australia to make the vinyl were as good as those elsewhere. As others have said, the local vinyl sounds great.

Pre-order is in, delivery expected Jan some time. Can't wait.

Can't believe there is finally a re-issue of this killer album.

Also can't believe MFSL, Analog Productions etc... haven't been able to do a copy.

I only have the Australian version to compare it with and it’s as good as it, or in my case sounds better given my original copy had been played to death and filled with cracks and pops. It sounds as good as when the original was new. I’m using a Pro-Ject T2 turntable with Ortofon 2M Bronze cart, Pro-Ject Tube Box  S2 , Rotel A12 MKII integrated amp and KEF q150 bookshelf speakers to listen to it if that makes any difference.

I remember when buying an original DMM pressing of this at record fairs was around $7. And I bought my audiophile pressing for $20.

Amazing what happens when a handful of hack musicians cover your material - the original skyrockets!

In some sense I guess we should see some good justice in this for the original artist. In another sense, it's an absolute indictment on the lack of creative talent of our more prominent artists of today.

I bet when I met Tracy years ago while living in West Hollywood she never foresaw her eminent, almost meteoric rebirth on the horizon!
