Frank Prowse Hi-Fi Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 Join us in-store on May 7, 2024 at Frank Prowse Hi-Fi for an evening celebrating Monitor Audio Group’s current design and manufacturing capabilities, and its future ambitions. As one of the oldest Monitor Audio dealers in Australia, Frank Prowse Hi-Fi is proud to showcase the current design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities of the Monitor AUdio Group, as well as its future ambitions. Top-billing at this event will be the incredible HYPHN loudspeakers - Hyphn is a unique loudspeaker, created at a particular point in time through a combination of three specific factors: a deep understanding of the science of how we hear sound; solid engineering principles; and the creative freedom that comes with being an independent business. In addition we will also be showcasing the Platinum and Gold ranges through the night. Speakers will be driven by T+A electronics. Refreshments (food and beverages) will be available on the night. In addition, parking is available on Rockton Road which is adjacent to us. We may also have a spot or two downstairs underneath the store, available on a first-come first-served basis. See you all tonight!
Analogueage Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 I'm sure it will be a great night, they always are @Frank Prowse Hi-Fi. 1
Frank Prowse Hi-Fi Posted May 9, 2024 Author Posted May 9, 2024 Thanks to all who attended on Tuesday night! Considering it was a Tuesday, we had a great turnout (30+) and it was wonderful to see plenty of familiar faces and quite a few new ones too! Thank you to Richard Cadet and all at @Interdyn Brands for co-hosting the event, those attending on the night had a chance to win a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 100 bookshelf speakers in their colour of choice. Little shoutout to our volunteers on the night who do a wonderful job organising the food and making sure everybody is looked after during the event. We will share the playlists of the music played on Tuesday, in a day or two. For now, here are some pics of the event taken from our perspective. 3
maximus Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Lot of money for a Monitor Audio......hope it sounds 135k worth.
Guest Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Credit to @Hydrology for his photography skills which I always admire! 4
Analogueage Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Great work by @Hydrology and @Frank Prowse Hi-Fi. The opportunity to listen to such high-end equipment, regardless of cost, is appreciated. It should not be underestimated how much time and money these events take to organise including food, drink, people to serve attendees, late nights from staff and all associated social media, in this case it even included an amazing prize just for attending. Respect to all involved. 4
Guest Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 To quote Dickens - "'It was the best of times, it was the worst of times". I have a love/hate with these events. I hate the stress involved in organizing, following up, social media, music selection (we aim to play music that hasn't been demoed before), system building and fine tuning while at the same time trying to document the occasion with photography/videography and keeping the wheels turning in the background, all for about 2-3 hours of time. But the enjoyment that seems to manifest from attendees, meeting old friends as well as new, the relaxed vibe and the genuine interest and open-mindedness that people show, always blows me away, hence the love. That said, I can only begin to imagine the work (and associated stress) that exhibitors go through for a whole weekend of show, or for the organizers of a full show, such as @Marc - by that same yardstick it shows a HUGE amount of love for the industry and the attempt to make it more inclusive.

Not to take anything away from you for what is involved and they always seem to be superbly organised, viewing from over East ... (full credit to you) ... but now you understand how I feel about the hi-fi show each year 3
Frank Prowse Hi-Fi Posted May 21, 2024 Author Posted May 21, 2024 A little motionlapse we took on the night is available to watch:-
