Phil M Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 Hi Eskay Do you have the receipts / manual / paperwork that goes with the troubadour? Kind Regards Phil
SilverLox Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 Hi Eskay Out of interest, when would one use the passive vs active pre-amp out ? Regards
Whites Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 That's the best looking Weston amplifier I have seen. 1

Regards I think it would depend on the power amp you used with it. The passive pre basically means the signal just goes through the volume pot, that's it, no gain. The active goes through the pre section so may add some 'flavour' AND probably gain in the output signal. This (gain) would be handy to provide a higher signal level into the power amp. I'm NO expert by any means but I think that's kind of in the right direction. My ol' mate @Cafad is more the amp expert and may be able to add?
zenikoy Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 Jeez, i'd pay $1750 to use it as a static art display. Unfortunately I'm in the wrong state and wrong country. 1
