Honreekea Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 With a review like that, it makes one almost want to go out and buy the turntable!

muon* Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Likely sounds nice, but the original DP-3000 had better SNR and Wow & Flutter specs. DP-3000 Wow and flutter: less than 0.03% WRMS Signal to noise ratio: more than 75dB DP-3000NE Wow Flutter less than 0.06% JIS (S/N ratio) Over 70dB Not sure of the difference between WRMS and JIS.
will robinson Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 Appears to be of Hanpin manufacture like Pioneer PLX1000. No criticism from me but it is nothing like the old DP3000. One of these days I will compare original DP3000 with the PLX1000 and my SL1200 and Kenwood KD500. will
will robinson Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 Just noticed this new Denon is not a cheapy so possibly the highest end turntable to come from Hanpin? If it is a Hanpin that is. will 1
cafe67 Posted February 16, 2024 Author Posted February 16, 2024 New turntable and interview with developer Ryo Okaseri about new Denon DP 3000-NE (2 parts) -I used google translate https://www.denon.jp/ja-jp/blog/12797/index.html?fbclid=IwAR184maajpt5Oeel_CWs_Hy7x1Nea2EZHx9_rXw-m1kJLHLurTzr0Nkf6lc_aem_AeQVUxKvXrNkc_OZeItds7sBuOu6MqbFOgQIJEvOSNvl9Og_1njWZXv9aoEjr8YTM08
mattd2308 Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Gets a pretty good review in HiFi News mag i received (Subscription). Can't find a link on the net anywhere yet. Did state the motor is made by an OEM company in China to Denon's specs. Hifi news were impressed with its PWM chip/processor (pulse width modulation-I think) which kept a bang on accurate speed. 1
Chigurh Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 (edited) I don't understand why whenever a direct-drive turntable is released (that isn't a Technics) a lot of people, without any proof, hop on the band-wagon and say "it's probably made by Hanpin". The implication is that the device must be sub-par. This turntable looks beautiful and gets rave reviews in regards to both build and sound quality. It doesn't bother me if it's made in China, nearly everything is these days. Edited June 5, 2024 by Chigurh spelling 2
