I use the same with a Primare DAC30 and the result is sublime.

Because it's a real CD transport laser/mech, not a cheap laptop or automotive slot loader.

The big + is it, it uses a linear power (LPS)  supply, not a noise radiating/infiltrating switch- mode (SMPS), must in my opinion for sensitive source equipment. https://ibb.co/5F4MCCd

Thanks guys. I had this hooked up to the PS Audio DAC, which I have also listed for sale, and the sound quality is truly amazing. Punches way above its weight!

yer reminiscent of the transport parts in their top of range 851 with the LPS etc... but I'm def no expert! (unlike George).

Yes very similar to that complete player/dac, if you take the dac/output stage away, what's left is just a great transport. (that internal shot of the CXC you showed, someone has clocked it) 

 

We better stop this and allow the OP to sell this at the great price he has it at.
