Hi All, I have a Linear Design Model 2500 which I bought as non functional for a very cheap price. There seems to be very little info out there on this amplifier. I need to know the type of power transistors originally fitted as two are missing from the right channel. The left channel has two NPN type MJE3055T's  but installed the wrong way around. I'm assuming these are equivalent to the originals but in the TO-220 package. Pins 1 to 3 are Base Collector emitter in that order. I suspect the originals were in the opposite configuration ie Emitter Collector Base but its only a guess. Does anyone have  a schematic diagram available or own one of these amps that could help me out here please?

There is a old topic here, where SNA member who was last active in 2010  said he had a schematic . Perhaps easier is taking a close look at the corners of the board, as I think you may find it could be a early Electronics Today International board  ETI offered a lot of kits., that may have found there way into a retailed amplifier.  There may be a part number at the edge of the board. At the top right hand corner there looks to be such a number

A better idea might be finding a equivalent boards that you can follow with a schematic , if taking this path your options are huge.
