PositivelyMusicallyGeared Posted May 6 Posted May 6 I'd go and prevent EM pollution in my house as much as possible.

mageak Posted May 7 Posted May 7 hi. i just changed from a 35m cat 6a to a 35m run of quality brand ethernet cable. my system is pretty revealing. i also took this cable to compare to a friends normal cat 6a cable. the result wasnt a small change. id try and get a better cable but 40m might cost you 1100 bucks this is not speculation ive tried both. on 2 systems this is aaudiophile cable and this is a belden top ofvthere line cable but belden isnt for audio. ive found drop outs tend to be component related more than ethernet. i had ayon s10 and it would drop since going merging and roon i havent had one same internet. 1
sloper Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Run 2 lengths just in case one fails in the future, cable is cheap. l ran 2 lengths 30m to my garage only one is active for now. regards Bruce 2

Pitadotcom Posted November 12 Posted November 12 How about buying a mesh kit from amazon or something to experiment. Could just return it if it didn't work over the well. There are lots of 3 unit kits around for under $500
frankn Posted November 13 Posted November 13 For cable I think Cat6 will be fine. For a wifi + cable mesh system I’m using this ASUS to get better wifi throughout a steel framed house and provide Qobuz to the stereo downstairs via the Cat6 LAN in the house.
