Rotel RB-1070 and RB-1080 power amps

Featured Replies

I posted the preamps the other day, and thought I may as well post the matching power amps while I've got them.

As with the preamps, the "80" model is much more substantial.

Apologies for not clearing out the dust before taking the pics!

I sold so many RB1080s when I was working at Encel. They totally nailed it with that design. Absolutely cracking value. There was nothing else that could touch it for the dollars in terms of sheer power and drive.

I once had a 1095... that was one beast of an amp.

I used it for the surround side of things with a Krell 300cx on Proacs 3.8 mains, every now and again I'd slip the 1095 in place of the Krell on the 3.8 mains and just go stereo. Man that 1095 could boogie, it had absolutely every reason to stand tall and proud beside that 300cx. Great amp.

@Darryl if you ever want to sell that 1080 please contact me first cab off the rank... I will not hesitate!

No worries Allan.

No plans to sell at this stage but they turn up pretty regularly on the various selling sites if you keep an eye out.

Love my 1080.
