Briz Vegas Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 Over Christmas I rediscovered an Australian car website called Mighty Car Mods (MCM). Moog ( yes , after the synth) is one of the two guys behind the successful Aussie car web site and has been named as the co-presenter for the refreshed Top Gear Australia 2024. Maybe Top Gear is a tired formula but after I watched MCM Kei car challenge I think these guys put together a great entertaining engaging show. I somehow doubt that that the spirit will come across in Top Gear Australia, but I wish them, or at least Moog, the best of luck. If you have a couple of hours and like tiny car challenges, (and maybe stray cats, or that could just be me) check this out. Or, if you have 30 seconds, a sense of humour and like Pugs, Moog and Marty did some Frenchcore in 2023. Took 10 minutes to write this track according to Moog but I love it.
Briz Vegas Posted May 6, 2024 Author Posted May 6, 2024 (edited) Top Gear Australia kicks off 17 May, its the only version (no UK version etc) and its been sold globally. For those who remember the Clarkson show this is a non-BBC / Paramount insight on what the new show might be like. It's interesting that they wanted 3 strangers and it's not scripted, apparently. That's interesting given Richard ( Sniff Petrol ) Porter was a writer on the Clarkson version. Edited May 6, 2024 by Briz Vegas
manchu Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 I've watched the first few episodes of this new aussie top gear and reckon it's ok. I don't expect any Top Gear to have a chance of replicating the chemistry of Clarkson, Hammond and May, but this one might just be the best of the rest. moog is the most natural host of the 3 in my option. The ex rugby player is OK, but that ex survivor host guy has a weird accent I just can't get used to. On 06/05/2024 at 2:28 PM, Briz Vegas said: and it's not scripted, apparently. I don't believe that for a second.
