Keywords don't seem to be triggering an email or a notification here.

 

Example: I have "Chord" as a keyword. The below classified was posted but I received no email notification.

Are keywords case sensitive?  I suspect they are ?

It ignores case.

We've figured out why that was and patched it.

I have to say, this was one of the best additions we've made to the forums.

I never miss out on the stuff that interests me in the Classifieds now.

Hey Marc just thought I'd bring this to your attention in case it needs a tweak.

I received a key word monitoring notification:

When I click on it I get this:

Can you see that thread? 

 

Were you logged in from whichever device you clicked the link from (I would assume so as that looks like an inline notification as opposed to email etc).

I got a second notification a short time ago for the turntable and I can click on that and be taken to the ad.

Maybe the first one was when the mods looked at the ad? Dunno, just guessing.

Oh and yes logged into the same device for all of this.

Hi @Darryl, that's interesting.

When I was testing this, from the mod/volunteer side I didn't get an alert for a keyword until after an ad was approved (even though mod/volunteers can of course, see the ads before they are approved)

Yeah this is the first time it's happened.

I usually only get alerts after the ad has been approved, assuming that's what happened here.

OK resolved. What happened is we are testing ads in the new classifieds system, and it's obviously linked to the keywords system as well.

So a Linn ad was posted which triggered your keyword notification, but of course you can't see those ads in the new test system.

Might just have to ignore any of those type of notifications for now. Can see in your notification it is my avatar, which is how I clicked as to what is happening here.

Yep apologies for these. It would be too much effort to try and disable them temporarily so we're best off pressing forward with development.

Thanks for that Marc ... no need to apologise at all. I thought that would be the case but wanted to flag it in case it wasn't.

 

If it's a legit ad I would be interested to see it ... I love the Grandinote gear I have and you don't see much of it so clicked on that one extra fast !!!
