There happy. Was actually laughing at the high res sticker but, since you assumed roll of admin will comply.

@Neo why is that worth laughing at?  Is it really necessary to roam around the forum laughing at people’s contributions?

Don’t feel special.  He laughs at posts regularly, rarely actually contributes but happy to laugh at others posts.  It’s a bit sad.

Good luck with the new streamer mate.  I have one here that I’ve been playing with and have to say it’s an impressive piece of kit, great interface, great build quality, and sounds really nice.

Thanks for an actual positive comment. I appreciate it

FWIW, S. Huff on his yt channel gave this a glowing review just today and there are probably more folks thanjust myself who are deciding whether to invest in this model now (and/or smth much farther upmarket later).  amazon is running a special on these right now, so you have a little competition there at the minute.

Oh, open to realistic offers. Plus the remote and Inc postage. I got mine from Amazon now I need to check on the offer

Thanks

I could be wrong but I think the Huff review is of the very latest one, the Pro Plus (which has an upgraded DAC and better analogue out...but otherwise the same device).

The WiiM Pro is still an excellent streaming device (as is the mini) partic as a digital streamer into an external DAC. I have a mini and a couple of WiiM Pros in my house. Adding the remote adds some great convenience including if you like to program in a couple of internet radio stations (such as Radio Paradise) into the memory buttons too.  One button touch and you are up and running.  These devices are also a very cost effective way of linking systems - same music playing on your two systems in different parts of the house. GLWTS.

Hi DacMan,

Do you think the remote has been useful? I am interested but unsure if it is worth it for the remote as I would be playing from my phone so I think controlling it from there would be the same thing

Thanks

Actually. It's not too bad. You can change the inputs, skip/pause/volume all work really well (and I use it with Roon and all works there too) Plus has the voice commands too and 4 customisable buttons (never used this though)
Faster than using my phone

Hi Dacman,

I want this unit but can it process files from an external HDD?

I'd say no as the only USB is for power.

The only option is if your externall HDD is connected to your router and available through your home network, then you can use the WiiM app to look for the files and play them this way.
