They're a waste of money anyway.

I find it amusing the use of turntables in tv ads.  In many cases they have the cliche of the turntable in the middle of the room, not connected to anything, with records around it on the floor.  And in tv/movies, none of the actors seem to take the time to research how to use the turntable properly.  The cue is never used, the fingerlift on the headshell is never used.  They hold the headshell between the thumb and forefinger and place/drop it onto the record.  Yikes!

This one?

Looks like a Yamaha TT-S303.

It has the headshell and cartridge in the first shot, then missing for some reason in the second close up shot, then back again at the end.

The really common thing I hate is when they use an old gramophone and they put the arm on the wrong side of the record, so the grooves are pushing towards the arm and stylus.

Just like this image, that Len Wallis Audio (Sydney) used in 2021 as the banner of their "secondhand equipment" page (it's no longer displayed on the page).

I would have thought they would know more about microgroove LP records and the correct equipment to play them on. The record does look as if it has slight warps, which is why they may not have been concerned about the stylus it's played with, or the side of the record it's on.
