But the very fact they were forced to share is very much the elephant in your room.

But the mere fact they made the effort solved the perceived problem.

Didn't Stereophilus and Tony M find rooms in the very hotel after you said there wasn't one available within 1.5 k's?

I wouldn't say we were forced to share, that is, no one had a gun to my head.

It's just more cost effective to share, so I asked Redgum if they wanted to join us.

They accepted.

It's win win for both of us.

I spoke to Stereophilus and he said everyone is welcome to crash at his place. I think.

You are obviously of the opinion that I'm playing some sort of game, so I apologise if I've created that impression.

Just wondering if there is going to be a SNA members knees up somewhere? I'm in if there is and I'm in if there isn't it...

No, no Art, not under that impression, just can't agree with you on this one :)

Let's just hope that the organisers can learn from this years scheduling mess, and avoid making the same mistake in the future

The 2011 show was the weekend after the MotoGP.

We went to the GP, then did the show, was a great few weeks, and now it's totally stuffed as we can only do one or the other.

And on top of all that there's the Foggy Mountain Bluegrass Festival all that weekend just up the road in Kinglake as well.

I would have gone to that if it was not for the HiFi Show.

Yeah, would be good. Friday night I'm out to dinner with the wife at Nobu... Anyone want to crash that too?

2011 was great, but unfortunately I had to fly back prematurely to attend a Steely Dan / Steve Winwood concert in the Hunter Valley.

That time of year is definitely prime time on the national events calendar, so collisions are almost unavoidable.

How the hell are the organisers meant to choose a date that will please EVERYONE?

That's impossible of course, but pretty much any other weekend would have been better.

No problems there.

Very few people agree with me generally anyway, so you're in good company.

That's just such a fantastic admission Art, well done and more power to you and keep on being exactly as you are. :thumb:

Well, it would be difficult not to make that observation. :(

It's too late to change now of course, but I think I'd be concerned if everyone started to agree with me anyway.  :nana

I can fully understand you doing that - wife and I saw both performing at Rochford winery in the Yarra Valley, they've still got it after all these years!  :thumb:

I definitely didn't walk away disappointed. Steve Winwood was the support act, but on his own he was worth the price of admission.

The weather was simply perfect, and the entire evening was so damn sensational that even the crap wine tasted good.
