Sansui77
Hi All, My trusty Epson EB-W12 projector looks like it finally needs replacing. It gets used in my garage - man cave a lot and mainly for sports, AFL football, Bathurst, Melbourne cup etc. The projector turns on, about 20 seconds later the fan goes high then red lights on power, temp & lamp. I fitted a genuine Epson lamp only a few years ago and it has only 340 hours in eco mode. The projector is 10 years old now so I'm thinking of upgrading it to a newer model, nothing flash, maybe a EB-W52 or stretch it out to a EB-FH52. Really only project 720P using Kayo Sports, YouTube, TAB racing etc. What are your thoughts? I would like to stick with the Epson brand.
Hi-Fi Whipped
Do you have a budget? 9400 is hard to look past if you have over $3500.

BRS
You can have my TW9200W but it has a green line on permanent display and shipping would probably not worth it.
BRS
I looked at the TW6250 (over your budget)but contrast was too low for me so ended up with TW7100 for $2k.

If that does nothing maybe go with something that isnt 4k but still would be higher resolution than your current wxga 3:4 ratio data model . Like a 1080p tw5700 if you could stretch the $ ? https://www.cablesonline.com.au/epson-eh-tw5700-2500-lumens-fhd-home-theatre-projector-hdmi-usb/?utm_source=Bing Shopping&utm_campaign=Bi

The projector is over 10 years old now. Not worth me repairing it. I ended up buying a new Epson EB-FH52. I wanted a projector with a brighter light output and with a 1920x1080 resolution compared to the 1280x800.
