surprisetech Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 Yes, a wonderful night yet again and as Al has said, great to catch up with everyone and make some new connections as well. I guess it's a good sign that I got caught up in the fun and completely forgot to take a pic or two. Thanks again @evil c , everyone who attended and @Bass13 for the pics. 2 1
evil c Posted October 23, 2023 Author Posted October 23, 2023 (edited) Phew it has been a very long weekend and l haven't had so much fun since - - - last year!! Brilliant to catch up with so many of the SNA characters and audio people in general . I made a conscious effort to mingle more with everyone, and it was a wise decision as really enjoyed it this year! Yesterday at joz was a blast, but l was fading fast by the late afternoon. Today was also a highlight, with Nick Hulgich and his friend Dean coming to evil Springs for an afternoon of tunes, wine and nibbles to round off the festivities. We are blessed with some lovely people in this game, and it makes the chore of all the organising of the dinner more bearable. However, l don't know if l have another hifi show dinner in me after doing it for 7 years, since the first show - so I hereby pass the baton onto another kind dedicated soul (?) Hello Clive, I finally got to visit you yesterday after having promised so many times. It has been an emotional experience for me to reacquaint myself with Astor speakers, since that model has been the one that has put me on the audiophile map in Australia. Every pair of speakers I send to a new customer is like a son leaving home for me. That's why it makes me very happy to see the passion and affection that you have for them, creating an audio system to make them sound wonderful. I appreciate the great opportunity you gave me to reunite with one of my children and see that you love the Astors as much as I do. Together with my friend Dean we also want to thank you for your great hospitality. and enjoy a great Cav Sav listening to the Astors. Nothing more pleasant than enjoying a good red and good music with great company. Nick HULGICHAUDIO 5 1
