Ol Hoggie
Hi all, I'm a silly boy seem to have screwed (pun intended) the lift/lower platform (?) of the tonearm cueing lever on my Rega Planar 3, I think I've threaded the tiny screw hole when trying to adjust the height and it now just spins without tightening. Does anyone have any advice, or know if I can replace just the top piece not the entire cueing lever? (Can someone please let me know if this is the wrong place to start this thread, thanks!) mikizee
Looking at the Rega spare parts list I have, an arm lift lower assembly is $55, and a sleeved or non sleeved arm nut by itself is $20. Your local Rega retailer should be able to order for you, or I can, or you can contact the Aussie distributor Synergy, they are based in Melbs. 1
Batty
Or.. I can send you mine, I have replaced mine with an aluminium one. I don't have the rubber insert though. Edited August 2 by Batty 1
SonicArt
I think its a 3mm grub screw, you could get a 1/8th grub to screw in, get a couple, file the end of one at an angle of 30 deg or so and use it to cut into the brass and make a thread, then use the new one and dont tighten it too much!
